I was born and raised in Luverne and graduated from Luverne High School in 2001. Shortly after graduation, I began my career in construction, building hands-on experience that would later become a strong foundation for my work in real estate. My wife, Missy — my high school sweetheart — and I were married in 2003. While I was working in construction, she pursued her education and became a nurse. Together, we’re proud parents of four amazing kids: Tyson, Amira, Hannah, and Emma.
Real estate has always been a passion of mine. Over the years, Missy and I bought and sold several homes in the area, which deepened my interest in the industry. In 2014, I earned my real estate license, and in 2016, Dave Hup and I became business partners and purchased into the RE/MAX franchise. Today, we are proud owners of Land and Home Realty, where we’re committed to serving our community with integrity and local expertise.
In 2016, Missy and I partnered with Mike and Traci Davis to purchase land just east of Luverne, transforming it into what is now River Road Campground. In 2023, we purchased the Davis’s share and became sole owners.
In 2024, after our son Tyson got engaged to his now wife Averill, Missy and I were inspired to create a beautiful venue space for weddings and special events. That vision became Whispering Pines Event Space — a stunning event venue located on 21 acres just east of Luverne near River Road Campground.We feel incredibly blessed to live, work, and invest in the community we’ve always called home.
